Storm Shadow cruise missiles struck the Kremniy El production complex in Bryansk, one of Russia's key facilities for manufacturing electronic components used in military equipment. Multiple explosions were reported at the site, which produces microparts for radar systems and air defense platforms, followed by a large fire that drew emergency responders from across the region. Six people were killed and at least 37 sustained injuries.
The missiles were launched from Su-24 strike aircraft, according to Russian defense officials. The Bryansk facility has been identified by analysts as a strategically significant node in Russia's military-industrial supply chain, supplying components that are difficult to source through alternative channels given existing export controls and sanctions.
Local emergency services mobilized in force as the fire burned through sections of the complex. Russian authorities confirmed the casualty figures while condemning the strike as an attack on civilian industrial infrastructure. The operation marked one of the deepest and most consequential strikes on Russian territory since the beginning of the broader conflict, raising questions about the vulnerability of facilities previously considered beyond the reach of Ukrainian-operated long-range weapons.
