Macedonia is experiencing dramatic temperature swings within the same day: sub-zero temperatures and frost in the early morning hours, followed by a jump to nearly 20 degrees Celsius in the afternoon. The difference between the daily minimum and maximum reaches up to 20 degrees at certain locations.

According to meteorological forecasts, morning frost is present across most municipalities throughout the country, especially in mountainous areas and valleys. However, afternoon temperatures in Pelagonia and the southeastern part of the country hover around 20 degrees, bringing truly spring-like conditions.

Such temperature extremes have a negative impact on people's health, particularly for those who are weather-sensitive or have chronic illnesses. Medical experts warn that sudden temperature changes can cause worsening of cardiovascular and respiratory symptoms, headaches, fatigue, and reduced immunity.

Citizens are advised to dress in layers and to avoid sudden exposure to extreme temperature differences. The weather pattern is expected to continue in the coming days, with dry and sunny conditions during the day and wintry nights with frost.
