Tomahawk Near a Girls' School in Iran – Footage Contradicts Trump

Footage published on social media, whose authentic source is Iranian agency Mehr, shows the impact of a US Tomahawk cruise missile near a girls' school in Minab, Iran. The investigative group Bellingcat geolocated the footage and confirmed the strike occurred on February 28, in the immediate vicinity of a Revolutionary Guard naval base.

Satellite imagery from Planet Labs shows two seriously damaged structures: a clinic and an earth-covered structure belonging to the Guard. Bellingcat's analysis identified the underground military facility as the primary target, while the nearby school and medical center suffered collateral damage. Dozens of schoolgirls were killed in the strike, triggering international condemnation.

The findings directly contradict the previous statements of President Donald Trump, who initially accused Iran of the school attack. After the footage was released, Trump stepped back, stating: "I don't know enough" about who was responsible. This reversal further alarmed critics who were already questioning the manner in which the military operation is being conducted.

The Minab case deepened the divergence in narratives between Washington and Tehran regarding responsibility in the conflict. Iran has been describing attacks on civilian infrastructure as a direct consequence of the US-Israeli military operation, while the American side insists its strikes are precisely targeted at military objectives. The Tomahawk video complicated those claims with concrete visual evidence.
