The Donald Trump administration unveiled plans for the construction of a large triumphal arch in Washington, yet another project through which the American president wants to leave his mark on the nation's capital.

"I am pleased to announce that my administration has officially submitted a presentation and plans to the National Commission of Fine Arts for what will be the best and most beautiful triumphal arch in the world," the Republican wrote on his Truth Social platform.

The arch, standing 76 meters tall, is expected to become the largest monument of its kind in the world. According to the plans, the arch will feature three golden statues with inscriptions in gold letters reading "One Nation Under God" and "Liberty and Justice for All."

The plan was submitted to the National Commission of Fine Arts, whose members were appointed by Trump himself. Inspired by the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, the new project is among the many backed by the president aimed at leaving a lasting impression on the American landscape.

Trump also built a massive ballroom in the White House for up to 1,000 people, renamed the Kennedy Center to the Trump Kennedy Center, and received approval to mint a commemorative coin bearing his likeness.
