Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs categorically rejected the accusations of involvement in the attempted sabotage of the TurkStream gas pipeline near Kanizha in northern Serbia.

"We reject the attempts to falsely link Ukraine to the explosives incident found near the gas pipeline in Serbia. Ukraine has absolutely no connection to this," said Ukrainian diplomatic spokesman Georgi Tykhy on the X platform.

Tykhy suggested that the incident most likely represents a Russian false flag operation, describing it as part of Moscow's interference in the Hungarian elections.

The reaction came after Serbian security authorities discovered explosive materials near the gas infrastructure connecting Serbia and Hungary. The explosives were hermetically sealed and specially packaged for transport, accompanied by detonators and preparation equipment.

Serbian military representatives previously addressed disinformation around the case, explaining that the manufacturer's origin does not indicate responsibility for ordering or executing the operation.
