A group of U.S. Congress members has formally called for the removal of President Donald Trump through the 25th Amendment, citing serious concerns over his fitness for office amid escalating international crises.

The initiative, led by members of the opposition, argues that Trump\'s recent statements and actions - including threats to "wipe out" Iran - demonstrate a pattern of reckless behavior that endangers national security.

"The President\'s erratic conduct and increasingly dangerous rhetoric have brought us to the brink of a catastrophic conflict," the group stated in a formal letter to the Vice President and Cabinet. "The 25th Amendment exists for precisely this kind of situation."

Republican leaders dismissed the effort as a political stunt, arguing that the President is exercising his constitutional authority in managing foreign policy. The White House called the move "completely baseless and unconstitutional."

Constitutional scholars note that invoking the 25th Amendment to remove a president against his will has never been successfully accomplished in American history.
