VMRO-DPMNE: Shukova Copies Campaigns and Uses Tragedies for Political Show

VMRO-DPMNE accused Kaja Shukova and the SDSM forum of copying campaigns from neighboring countries in their International Women's Day appearance, and of using women's tragedies for political show rather than substantive political action. The ruling party stated that SDSM "has no authenticity, ideas, vision, or substance" and has transformed into an "imitation show."

In an official statement, VMRO-DPMNE specifically pointed out that Shukova's press conference staging was a copy of campaigns seen across the region — with no originality whatsoever. The party claims that serious issues of violence against women "deserve substantive support," not what they called "uncreative PR performances."

SDSM rejected the accusation, while Shukova had previously gone public with the message that the system continuously fails to respond adequately to reported violence, and that political responsibility must lie with the top leadership of the Interior Ministry. The dispute reflects deep divisions in Macedonia's political landscape — particularly on a topic as sensitive and pressing as violence against women.
