3,000 police officers, 400 doctors, 115 evacuated - Macedonia responded maximally to the Kochani tragedy

On the anniversary of the tragedy at the Kochani "Puls" club, Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski revealed that around 3,000 police officers were deployed on the day of the tragedy. Toshkovski highlighted their dedication in securing the scene, conducting the investigation and assisting in rescue operations.

Toshkovski stated that Macedonia and its institutions "responded maximally" to the tragedy, emphasizing that when institutions work together with dedication, they can respond to any challenge. Civil Protection held an exercise on February 1, 2025 that played a key role in preparedness.

Health Minister Azir Aliu reported that over 400 healthcare workers from public and private institutions were mobilized immediately after the tragedy. 115 seriously injured persons were transported to hospitals across Europe.

On the anniversary, the Government adopted a national plan for mass disaster management - the first comprehensive document of its kind in Macedonia's history, the Government announced.
