The Macedonian government organized a new evacuation flight to repatriate citizens stranded in the Middle East due to the escalating conflict. The third major evacuation flight brought home 153 citizens - 96 from Qatar, 33 from Kuwait, 15 from Bahrain, and 9 from Saudi Arabia.

Foreign Minister Timcho Mucunski confirmed that all evacuation costs are covered by the government. Previous operations included the evacuation of 150 passengers from Dubai on March 10, and earlier 151 citizens from the UAE. The first evacuation extracted six citizens from Israel via Egypt.

For citizens in the Persian Gulf countries, Riyadh has been designated as the central assembly point. The Foreign Ministry confirmed that all citizens who requested evacuation will be returned by mid-week.

The escalation of military confrontation between Iran, Israel, and the United States over the past 12 days has triggered a mass evacuation of foreign nationals from the region. Macedonia is not alone - numerous countries are evacuating their citizens from the conflict zone.
