The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed to have destroyed another American F-35 fighter jet over central Iran, according to a Telegram post via Fars news agency. The aircraft was allegedly completely destroyed and crashed.

Iranian outlet Mehr suggested the pilot was unlikely to have ejected due to the violent explosion.

CENTCOM has not responded, though it has previously disputed IRGC claims. Some military analysts suggest it may have been an F-15E rather than an F-35, based on debris photographs.
