The Iranian military reported carrying out new strikes on strategic locations housing American early warning and control AWACS aircraft, as well as aerial refueling tankers.

According to statements from Tehran, the operation employed advanced "Arash 2" drones, which have a maximum range of 2,000 kilometers, enabling them to operate at significant distances.

The strikes were specifically directed at AWACS aircraft, which play a key role in airspace surveillance, coordination of combat operations, and early threat detection. Additionally, aerial refueling assets were attacked, indicating an attempt to disrupt the logistical capability of US air forces.

Iran characterized the attack as strategically focused on the American military presence in the Middle East. The long range of the Arash 2 drones represents a significant component of Iran's strategy for deterrence and force projection in the region.

Independent confirmation of the extent of the damage and potential casualties is not yet available.
