An Iranian drone struck a U.S. military base in Kuwait early this morning, injuring 15 American soldiers in what officials are calling a significant escalation of hostilities in the region.

The attack targeted a logistics facility at Camp Arifjan, one of the largest U.S. military installations in the Middle East. Of the 15 injured soldiers, three are reported to be in serious condition, while the remaining 12 sustained minor injuries.

The Pentagon confirmed the attack and said the drone was traced back to Iranian-controlled territory. Defense Secretary stated that the United States reserves the right to respond at a time and place of its choosing.

Iran has neither confirmed nor denied responsibility for the strike. Kuwait has called for an emergency session of the Gulf Cooperation Council to address the breach of its sovereignty.
