Two pedestrians were stabbed in the Austrian city of Linz, leaving one dead and another seriously injured.
Local authorities said the suspected attacker was arrested shortly after the incident. The motive remains unclear, and police plan to release additional details about the victims and the suspect during the day.
Local newspaper Kronen Zeitung published unconfirmed reports that the attacker was shouting insults against Muslims and that a witness saw him standing in the middle of the street, temporarily blocking traffic.
Austrian security services are continuing their investigation to determine whether the attack was motivated by hate or has another background.
