Struga municipality has announced an auction for the sale of an Audi A6 associated with former mayor Ramiz Merko. The starting price is set at 1,344,636 denars, or approximately €21,800, and the auction will take place on 16 March via the e-stvari.mk platform, starting at 10:00.

The car was purchased for €67,000 during Merko's time as head of the municipality – at a time when the municipality's account was frozen. The purchase of the luxury vehicle sparked widespread public controversy. Although legal proceedings were initiated, the court in Struga ruled that Merko bears no responsibility for the purchase.

With the proceeds from the sale, the municipal administration plans to purchase a minibus for the needs of the municipal administration and local sports clubs.

The notice has been published in the Official Gazette, and all interested parties can participate by submitting bids through the e-stvari.mk platform.
