As tensions in the Middle East increase, a growing number of Macedonian citizens in the region are seeking help and state support. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade confirmed that 11 citizens officially requested evacuation through the Macedonian embassy in Tel Aviv.

The MFA has activated a crisis team working 24 hours a day, and the consular services of Macedonian embassies in Doha, Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv maintain constant contact with registered individuals. Active coordination for potential evacuation assistance is ongoing with all of them, depending on the further development of the situation.

The Ministry appeals to all Macedonian citizens in Israel and other affected countries to regularly monitor official emergency portals, strictly follow the security instructions of local authorities, and refrain from travelling to the region until the situation stabilises.

Citizens remaining in affected areas received specific instructions: to know the location of the nearest shelter and how long it takes to reach it; to install official emergency alert apps; and to immediately enter a shelter upon receiving a danger signal. If a shelter is not accessible, it is recommended to seek the interior of a building, away from windows and external walls.

Citizens should always keep documents, a mobile phone, a spare battery, water and basic medicines at hand. If conditions escalate, they should self-evacuate if it is safe to do so, without waiting for official evacuation. The MFA SOS line is available at 075/273-732, and citizens can also contact the embassies in Doha, Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv directly.
