After more than five years of waiting, the Momin Potok bridge in Skopje is finally being installed. Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski shared photos of the construction progress on social media, wishing Skopje residents good morning with a message that work is moving forward.

The project started in July 2021 with an estimated construction period of 2.5 years - now, in 2026, it is finally entering its final phase. The reasons for the delays were difficult terrain and unresolved property issues, said Gjorgjievski.

This is one of the important infrastructure projects in Skopje - the Momin Potok crossing handles around 25,000 vehicles daily and connects four municipalities. The project includes the construction of two roundabouts, two bridges over the Serava river, retaining walls, communal infrastructure, and cycling and pedestrian paths. Current works focus on atmospheric drainage along "Nikola Karev" Boulevard (550 meters) and construction of the new bridge over the Serava (44 meters wide).
