The stalled and forgotten infrastructure project at Momin Potok in Skopje is finally moving ahead at full speed, the mayor announced. Within three months of taking office, the project entered a critical phase with the start of bridge construction.
Assembly of the steel structure for the new bridge has begun, with the primary load-bearing beams placed on the section heading out of Skopje toward Vizbegovo.
The new bridge is 43.5 meters long and will connect Nikola Karev Boulevard to the roundabout, bridging the segment with the turbo roundabout. Due to the structural complexity and the fact that the load-bearing components were manufactured under previously prepared conditions, their assembly will proceed in multiple phases.
Municipal officials described the structure as a key component of the overall traffic solution and an important step in modernizing this part of the city, which for years has been a bottleneck for Skopje traffic.
