Operation Eternal Darkness: Israel Bombs Beirut, Iran Ceasefire Does Not Cover Lebanon

Israel launched a new military operation against Lebanon called "Eternal Darkness", signaling that strikes will continue regardless of the ceasefire with Iran. The campaign targets Hezbollah positions, and operations are now expanding into Beirut itself.

Israeli forces claim they struck approximately 100 targets in just 10 minutes, including command centers and infrastructure. The operation represents an escalation from the southern suburbs to the mixed residential areas of the capital city.

At least 20 people are confirmed dead, including the prominent Shiite cleric Sadek Nabulsi. Three young girls were killed in the coastal city of Adloun. Israel's military spokesman stated: "The campaign in Lebanon continues and the ceasefire with Iran does not include Lebanon."

Hezbollah responded with a statement that the group stands "on the threshold of a great historic victory" and called on civilians not to return to the affected areas. The Lebanese Red Crescent mobilized 100 ambulances for transporting the injured to hospitals.

Despite the announced ceasefire with Iran, military operations against Lebanon show no signs of abating, indicating that the Middle East conflict is far from over.
