The Socialist Party reacted to the arrest of the director of the State Agricultural Inspectorate, Vase Anakiev, calling on institutions to operate without selectivity.

"At least let the institutions enforce the law equally for everyone," the party's statement reads. SDSM, meanwhile, demanded a thorough investigation of the case, insisting on full transparency in the process.

Anakiev was arrested with 50,000 euros while accepting a bribe, and the prosecution claims he had demanded a total of 100,000 euros to "resolve the problem." He has been placed in 30-day detention by court order.

The political parties are united in condemning corruption, but disagree on whether the anti-corruption actions are being conducted selectively or systematically.
