A conflict has erupted within President Donald Trump's administration over Iran policy, with divisions between Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

While Trump publicly expresses confidence in military operations against Iran, internal rifts are becoming increasingly apparent. According to sources, Rubio takes a more aggressive stance favoring military intervention, while Vance has a more cautious approach to the conflict.

The rivalry between the two prominent Republicans is being interpreted as a preview of the 2028 presidential race. Both are considered serious potential successors to Trump within the party.

At a private meeting with major donors, when Trump asked who would be a better successor, attendees almost unanimously backed Secretary of State Rubio.

The US-Israeli military campaign against Iran began on February 28 and continues with ongoing strikes. Washington aims to prevent the development of Iranian nuclear weapons, while Tehran maintains its defense readiness.
