Trump Imposes 50% Tariffs on Every Country Supplying Iran With Weapons

American President Donald Trump announced the introduction of secondary tariffs of 50 percent on all countries that supply Iran with military weapons. The measure takes effect immediately and applies to all products those countries export to the United States.

"Every country that supplies Iran with weapons will immediately be tariffed at 50 percent on all goods it sells to the USA, without exceptions," Trump stated.

Analysts believe Russia and China are most vulnerable to this measure, given their complex supply chains and various forms of cooperation with Tehran. The secondary tariffs could seriously disrupt global trade flows.

The decision comes simultaneously with the two-week ceasefire with Iran and amid rising trade tensions that are already putting pressure on global markets. Middle East instability, rising energy prices, and broader geopolitical uncertainty further complicate the landscape.

The administration is simultaneously processing claims of over 160 billion dollars for incorrectly charged tariffs from more than 25,000 companies, pointing to systemic challenges in implementing trade policy.
