Iran suspends negotiations with the US - no dialogue while the war in Lebanon continues

Iran suspended negotiations with the United States due to the continuation of Israeli military operations, Iranian state media reported. Tehran stated that it will not send a diplomatic delegation to Pakistan until a ceasefire is established in Lebanon.

Iranian authorities informed Pakistan that they will not participate in the negotiations in Islamabad under the current conditions. Official representatives from Tehran denied that any delegation had already arrived in the Pakistani capital, confirming that diplomatic contacts remain blocked.

Tehran accused Washington of failing to restrain Israeli military actions, warning that the failure to achieve a ceasefire could lead to a complete collapse of the peace negotiations.

Iran's decision represents a serious blow to the diplomatic efforts of US President Donald Trump, who in recent weeks insisted on continuing direct talks between Washington and Tehran. The interruption of dialogue comes at a time when tensions in the Middle East are at their highest level in recent months.

According to diplomatic sources, the key obstacle to continuing negotiations is the situation in Lebanon, where the Israeli military continues intensive operations against Hezbollah. Iran considers that without concrete steps toward a ceasefire, any attempt at a diplomatic solution is doomed to failure.
