Air Serbia dispatched an aircraft from Belgrade to Dubai to evacuate approximately 260 Serbian citizens wishing to return home. The Airbus A330-200 departed for Dubai's Al Maktoum International Airport, with the delegation led by Ambassador Željko Jović.

Beyond Dubai, Serbia is planning additional evacuation flights. Two flights are scheduled for March 9 from Riyadh's King Khalid Airport, using Airbus A320 aircraft with 180 seats each. Those flights are expected to evacuate Serbian citizens located in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain.

Serbia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that all preparations for the evacuation are proceeding, including obtaining flight permits, with continuous monitoring of security assessments for the affected airspace. Citizens can register their interest in evacuation through Serbia's diplomatic and consular representations.

The evacuation is part of broader regional repatriation efforts for citizens wishing to leave Middle East conflict zones, where tensions continue to escalate following the US-Israeli military operation against Iran.
