Serbia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs updated its travel warning system in a "traffic light" format, placing Croatia in the orange category – the only European country at that risk level.

The orange category means "travel only in cases of extreme necessity". The Ministry cited "increasingly frequent incidents, tensions and unfavourable security conditions" in Croatia without specifying events. Citizens are advised to avoid public gatherings and possible provocations. Organised group travel, especially sports and cultural delegations, are advised to consult the relevant authorities.

Albania is the only other European country with an elevated warning – yellow category with a recommendation for "additional precautionary measures". Ukraine is in the orange and Russia in the yellow category. The red category, where travel is not recommended, includes 23 countries, mostly in the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

Macedonia is classified in the green, safe category, along with most countries in the region. Tourists and travellers planning to visit Macedonia or other Balkan countries in the green zone can travel without special restrictions.
