German guitar duo Café del Mundo play the Macedonian Philharmonic in Skopje on 11 December at 8 p.m. The concert is part of the world tour "Guitarize: The World Tour", which this autumn also takes in Stuttgart, Erfurt, Mannheim, Wiesbaden and Lübeck.

Behind the name are Jan Pascal and Alexander Kilian, two guitarists who met at a workshop in 2007. Since then they have released more than ten albums, played at Abbey Road Studios in London and recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Kilian is a trained jazz guitarist, so their sound doesn't stay in one drawer.

The foundation is flamenco and the Andalusian tradition, but on top of it the duo pours classical music, jazz, pop and rock. This isn't a classic recital with two chairs and silence between pieces: the concerts are built as a live musical dialogue between two guitars, with the temperament of flamenco and the virtuosity that has taken them to stages all over Germany.

Tickets for the concert at the Macedonian Philharmonic range from 1,300 to 1,900 denars and are on sale via karti.com.mk.
