Latvia's security chief Normunds Mezhviets has warned of hybrid warfare waged by Belarus and Russia. According to him, Belarus trains migrants in camps before pushing them across European Union borders.

The migrants receive combat training, and Poland has discovered underground tunnels along the border. "If the Russians come a third time, it means the end of our people," Mezhviets stated.

Western intelligence agencies warn that the Kremlin may be preparing attacks on NATO within five years. A particular focus has been placed on espionage targeting railway infrastructure.
