A building collapsed in Vienna's Alsergrund district during concrete work. Multiple workers were trapped under the rubble.

A 45-year-old worker sustained severe injuries to the head, spine and hand, and is in critical condition in the intensive care unit. Firefighters are on site using specialized equipment and drones to locate and rescue the trapped workers.

Police have set up traffic blocks in the surrounding area. The incident occurred near the Lycee Francais on Porzellangasse street.
