Detour play the Boogaloo club in Zagreb on October 2, 2026, starting at 8 pm, with the „Sve je OK!” programme. The Croatian electro-acoustic band born out of another band's break-up is today among the more interesting names on the Zagreb scene precisely because it has never settled into a single genre.

Detour came out of the group Yamat in 2006, with Nenad Borgudan as creative leader and frontman. Most of Detour's instrumentalists were also part of Yamat, and the rename is explained by their distancing from executive producer, project initiator, manager and name owner Alen Balen. That situation is hardly rare on the regional scene, but few bands come out of it with the line-up intact.

Their sound moves through electro and baroque pop, but also through rock with funk and jazz influences. It is a combination that makes them hard to label, and Borgudan is known in interviews for steering the lyrics toward subject matter that is not the usual pop-band fare. The debut album, simply titled „Detour”, came out in October 2006, and since then the band has released several more records and remains active.

Tickets are 20 euros, roughly 1,232 denars, plus a booking fee, through entrio.hr. Boogaloo is a club whose capacity lets a band of this make-up work its full dynamic range without pushing the PA to its limit.
