Gumeni Glavi return to the stage on 14 August at Morska Gara in Burgas, at an event called Rap Dynasty. The group that changed Bulgarian hip-hop plays again in full lineup, and beside them stand names from three different generations.
Gumeni Glavi were formed in Varna in 1994 by Misho Shamara and Valyo Kita, with DJ Dian Solo in the original lineup. They are not just another old act - they are the group that opened the door for dozens of artists who came after. What brings them back tonight is an attempt to assemble the entire history of a genre into a single evening.
The lineup backs that up: alongside Gumeni Glavi are Bat Ventsi of Upsurt, the act that together with Itso Hazarta is one of Bulgaria's strongest hip-hop formations, then 2 Litsa of Loshite, Konsa, Eva Maria, Dani Dimitrof, Maria Dragneva, Lil Sha, Dimof and Pameca. It is a meeting of the nineties legends and the new wave of the Bulgarian scene.
The event starts at 20:00 and runs into the early morning. Tickets via bilet.bg run from around 1,230 denars for the early Standard category, through 1,725 denars for regular, up to 2,465 denars for the VIP zone. Morska Gara in Burgas in mid-August is one of the biggest summer stages on the Bulgarian coast.
