Iran stated it will not allow oil to pass through the Strait of Hormuz for the benefit of the US and their allies as long as the American-Israeli aggression against the country continues, reported the Tasnim news agency.

"We will not allow a single liter of oil to pass through the Strait of Hormuz for the benefit of the US and their allies," stated the spokesperson of Central Command, Hatem al-Anbiya.

He warned that any vessel owned by the US, the "Zionist regime," or their partners will be a legitimate target for Iranian armed forces.

"The policy of mutual attacks is over; from now on, our doctrine will be attack for attack," the spokesperson added.

He also emphasized that "the enemy cannot artificially lower the price of oil and energy."

The statement came a day after US Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced that the US Navy had escorted a tanker through the Strait of Hormuz. The White House quickly denied the report, while Iranian representatives accused Washington of spreading disinformation to manipulate the global oil market.
