A New Baby-Trafficking Case, the Same Initials Recur: a Baby for 500 Euros and Free Check-Ups

A new baby-trafficking case has shaken the public - and what makes it especially disturbing isn't only the act, but the recurring detail. The initials of two of the key suspects (F.A. and Ѓ.K.) appear both in this case and in a similar one from March 2025. The same initials, the same scheme, the same target - poor pregnant women.

According to police, six people are suspected of organising illegal adoptions. At the centre of the scheme is an employee at a childcare institution, who allegedly connected vulnerable pregnant women with couples wanting to adopt a child outside the legal channels. The offer was brutal in its calculation: around 500 euros and free gynaecological check-ups in exchange for giving up parental rights over the newborn.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Policy confirmed it had already revoked the employee's licence - after the previous case. And that's where the hardest question hides. If the scheme was already exposed once, if the licence was already revoked, how do the same initials turn up again in an almost identical operation? A revoked permit clearly doesn't mean the story is over.

The repetition isn't a coincidence - it's a symptom. When a scheme for selling babies can be restarted with the same people and the same method, it means the mechanisms meant to stop it either don't work or someone is managing to get around them. And behind every „500 euros” stands a newborn and a woman pushed to the edge. Who will answer this time - and is this the last time?
