Darko Rundek plays the Macedonian Philharmonic on November 5 at 20:30 with the project "Darko Rundek & Haustor & Ekipa". The organisers bill it as Haustor's last "Bolero", 41 years after the album of the same name came out, and Rundek is presenting his Ekipa in Skopje for the first time.
Haustor were founded in Zagreb in 1979 by Rundek and bassist Srđan Sacher and are counted among the most important bands of the Yugoslav new wave. "Bolero", from 1985, is their third album, and the group's hits include "Ena", "Šejn" and "Moja prva ljubav". The band split in 1990, and Rundek moved to Paris and, with the 1996 album "Apokalipso", started a second career as a singer-songwriter.
This summer in Zagreb, Rundek and Ekipa, reinforced by original Haustor members Damir Prica Kapri and Zoran Zajec Zeks, played the songs from "Bolero" and "Tajni grad" at a big open-air concert. The Skopje version is in a philharmonic hall - Haustor seated, and yet "Ula ulala" is hard to listen to sitting down.
Tickets start at 1,200 denars and are on sale through wayin.mk. The organisers warn that tickets for Rundek usually sell out fast.
