Schirenc Plays Pungent Stench hold their farewell concert in Sofia on October 24, 2026. The venue is Pri Cherepite (Oldskulls Club), and the show starts at 7 p.m.
Pungent Stench is a cult Austrian death metal band from Vienna, known for its raw sound and black, provocative humour. Guitarist and singer Martin Schirenc is its mastermind. After several break-ups, the band returned in 2013 as The Church of Pungent Stench, and in 2014 took its current name, under which Schirenc performs the group's classics.
Schirenc has announced that the project will end during 2026, so this year's shows, including the one at the German festival Party.San, are farewells. The Sofia concert is among the last chances to hear those songs from the man who wrote them. The night opens with Bulgaria's Past Redemption and Izkoplyak.
Tickets cost 30 euros, roughly 1,850 denars, on bilet.bg. The event is organised by Autumn Souls of Sofia, Oldskulls and District 19.
