Two people from Prilep died in a serious traffic accident on the Gradsko–Prilep express road, by the exit for Kavadarci. A 51-year-old driver and his 42-year-old passenger were killed, while the 39-year-old driver of the second vehicle was seriously injured.

The accident happened around 13:30, when two passenger vehicles collided - a "Škoda Octavia" and a "Volkswagen Golf", both with Prilep number plates. The force of the impact was such that the two passengers in the "Škoda" died on the very spot, as confirmed by an emergency doctor from Kavadarci.

The seriously injured driver of the "Golf" was first taken to the Kavadarci hospital, then transferred to the "Mother Teresa" Clinic in Skopje. A public prosecutor and a police investigation team went to the scene to determine the causes of the collision.

Two more names on a list that grows longer every year. Express roads are built to get there faster - but how often does that "faster" end at the Clinic or at the cemetery? While the official statistics are updated with two more figures, in Prilep two families today have no one left to wait for at home.
