Valid, a Detroit rapper of Serbian descent, plays Public Room on October 9 at 21:00 together with DJ Head, the Grammy-winning producer and DJ under whose mentorship Valid is building his career. The night is part of the promotion of the mixtape "Bronko Tape 2", which drops right before their tour across Eastern Europe.

Valid has so far released the albums "Mihajlo", "Peach Brandy" and "Bill & Isiah" with Stretch Money, and on "The Plum Brandy EP: The Refill" he brought together rappers from the region, including Smoke Mardeljano and Struka. The single "Live My Life" teamed Detroit rapper Elzhi with Serbian rap icon Mikri Maus, rapping in Serbian, over a beat by Macedonian producer DJ Goce. The track got spins from Statik Selektah and DJ Eclipse on Shade 45.

The title is a tribute to Bronko Lubich, an Eastern European immigrant who left his mark on American professional wrestling. "Bronko Tape 2" is a mixtape by design: Detroit boom-bap, Balkan hip-hop and a guest spot from Kool Keith. How often does a Detroit rapper with a Macedonian producer on the team end up on a stage in Skopje?

Entry is 500 denars, tickets are on tix.mk, and the organiser is Funky Fresh. Public Room is on 50-ta Divizija street in Skopje.
