Xandria, one of the most recognisable bands on the German symphonic metal scene, lands in Sofia on October 8, 2026. The show is part of the Eclipse Europe Tour 2026 and goes down at Pirotska 5 Event Center. American band Seven Spires and Italian Secret Rule are the special guests.
The Bielefeld outfit, formed in 1997, has gone through several vocal lineup changes and creative transformations over the years. After the period with Manuela Krajc (1999-2008) and Dianne van Giersbergen of Within Temptation/Nemesea, the band is currently fronted by Ambre Vourman, who joined in 2022. With 8 studio albums - the latest being Universal Tales (2024) - and hits like Ravenheart, Save My Life and You Will Never Be Our God, they're one of the genre's key bands alongside Within Temptation and Epica.
The symphonic metal concept - heavy metal riffs, orchestral music, operatic vocals and often mythological or fantasy lyrics - is especially strong in Germany and the Netherlands. The band's shows are known for being staged as full spectacle - complete stage production, video projections and complex light design. Pirotska 5 is a club with capacity of around 1500 in central Sofia.
Tickets are available via ticketstation.bg. The show kicks off in the evening on Thursday, October 8, 2026. For Macedonian fans of symphonic metal, this is one of the rare chances to catch the genre in the neighbourhood - Xandria has never played Skopje.
