Calibro 35, the Italian band that revives the sound of seventies film music, perform in Belgrade on December 5 at KC Grad. For lovers of funk, jazz and cinematic sound this is a rare visit by one of the most original European names in the genre.
Calibro 35 were formed in Milan in 2007, inspired by the soundtracks of seventies Italian crime films - the so-called "poliziottesco" genre. Their sound blends funk, soul, jazz and psychedelia into instrumental compositions that sound as if they stepped out of an old film thriller. Over the years they have built a reputation as session players who have collaborated with a large number of artists and recorded for film and television.
What makes Calibro 35's performances special is their live precision - these are top-tier instrumentalists who deliver complex, layered arrangements with flawless energy. The concert at KC Grad, a venue known for its quality music programme on the banks of the Sava, is a format made for their cinematic sound.
Tickets run from around 1,474 denars and are available via tickets.rs. The show is at KC Grad in Belgrade, in the evening hours.
