Morata and Campello gave each other a third chance: "We love each other, but we don't understand each other"

Footballer Álvaro Morata and his wife, Italian entrepreneur Alice Campello, gave each other a third chance - just five months after announcing the end of their marriage at the start of 2026. A story many had already written off, it seems, isn't over yet.

The couple has been together for nearly ten years and has four children - the twins Alessandro and Leonardo, who turn eight on July 29th, five-year-old Edoardo and three-year-old Bella. Over those years they went through a first split and reconciliation, then a second split that this January reached as far as divorce proceedings.

Morata was honest about the root of the problem: "We suffer because we're two people who love each other but don't understand each other." A sentence that says more than any statement to the media - because it's exactly that gap, between love and understanding, that tears apart even the strongest relationships.

The reconciliation became public when the two appeared together at a concert in Madrid. Alice later thanked everyone who sent her messages of support and stressed that things built with respect and care eventually work out. Both pointed out there was no third person behind the split - just a communication problem.

Whether the third chance will also be the last, nobody knows. But in a world where every breakup of famous people turns into a spectacle, these two at least aren't pretending it's easy. And that, in a kafana sense, is more honest than all the perfect photos of happy couples.
