Of the events in our calendar, the only one in Macedonia this weekend is Greek. Naxatras sit at the centre of Greece's psychedelic revival and have five albums recorded the old way, on analogue. Ljubljana: Jala Brat and Buba Corelli at Arena Stožice

The weekend's biggest name is playing far from home. Jala Brat and Buba Corelli bring the GOAT Tour to Arena Stožice on Saturday at 21:00, after two sold-out shows in Skopje, Arena Zagreb sold out in under an hour and more than 50,000 people at Ušće. The crowd that fills their halls in Skopje will have to travel this time.

Kraljevo: Senidah at the "Ibar" Sports Centre

Senidah, the Ljubljana songwriter with three golden MAC awards and hits like "Slađana", performs in Kraljevo on Saturday at 20:00.

Belgrade: (Ne)normalni play Haustor, Idoli and EKV

They started as a Balašević tribute and have played their own sets since 2011. Seven musicians from Novi Sad, (Ne)normalni play the new-wave canon on Sunday, 4 October, at 21:00 in the Nova Zappa Barka club on the Kula Nebojša quay: Haustor, Idoli and EKV. For the generation that knows those songs by heart, this is more than a tribute night.

Zagreb: Aca Lukas, Rok ko fol and Coltrane at 100

On Saturday Aca Lukas fills Arena Zagreb, while the same night at the Boogaloo club Rok ko fol play rock standards and sevdalinkas as if they were the same music. On Sunday James Carter and his quartet mark the centenary of John Coltrane's birth at Tvornica kulture.

In Sofia on Saturday the Brazilian trio Azymuth play Malkata Tekila, the Giegling collective returns to a secret location, and Kawir bring Greek pagan black metal to the Oldskulls club.
