Jokić: 200 triple-doubles in 814 games

Nikola Jokić posted 21 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists to lead Denver to a 104:91 win over New Orleans and reached the 200th regular-season triple-double of his career. Only Russell Westbrook has done it before him, and he holds the record with 209 - but Westbrook got to 200 in his 1,175th game, Jokić in his 814th. The irony is that Westbrook hit that mark precisely as Jokić's teammate in Denver. Averaging 22 points, 10.5 rebounds and 9 assists to start the season, the question isn't whether the Serb will break the record, but when. The Nuggets are now 2-2 and open the NBA Cup against Phoenix on Friday.

Dončić sits out with a tight back after 41 points

Luka Dončić put up 41 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in 37 minutes against Portland, but the Lakers lost their first game of the season 129:136. Dončić woke up the next morning with a tight back, so coach JJ Redick kept him out of the city derby with the Clippers. "We're just being overly cautious," Redick explained, pointing to the packed schedule. The numbers are unreal: after four games Dončić is the league's top scorer with 144 points, an average of 36 a game. How long can a body handle 37 minutes a night when even the club admits there's no time between games?

Zvezda flatten Maccabi, Koloko makes his debut

Crvena Zvezda opened the EuroLeague double-header week with a 100:78 win over Tel Aviv's Maccabi, their most convincing win of the season. The first quarter ended 34:15, and that's where the game was effectively decided. Tyson Carter hit six of nine threes and finished with 24 points, Jared Butler added 21 off the bench, and former Lakers centre Christian Koloko debuted in the starting five with 6 points, 3 rebounds and a block. Zvezda are now 5-3, while Maccabi have just two wins after eight rounds.

Nenad Dimitrijević: 12 points in Aris's fifth win

Macedonian international Nenad Dimitrijević started for Aris and in 26 minutes recorded 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in a 78:73 EuroCup win over Cedevita Olimpija. The point guard went 4 of 7 from two, was perfect from the free-throw line (4 of 4) and added a steal. The Thessaloniki side are five from five in the EuroCup, and the Macedonian playmaker starts games for a team that so far doesn't know what losing is.

Partizan blow an eight-point lead in France

Partizan led 73:65 at the start of the final quarter against ASVEL and looked to have the win in the bag. Then came the collapse: threes from Patty Mills and Hugo Besson, a technical foul on coach Joan Peñarroya for protesting to the referees, and a final score of 82:75 to the French side. Kevarrius Hayes was the Belgrade team's top performer with 15 points and 8 rebounds. There's a detail for Macedonian fans too: new Macedonian international Nate Sestina played eight minutes for ASVEL, with 2 points and 3 rebounds. In Belgrade this week, Zvezda are building, while Partizan still don't know how to close out a game.
