Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban sent a public letter to Ukrainian President Zelensky via social media, renewing accusations that Kyiv is deliberately pursuing anti-Hungarian policy.

"For four years you have been unable to accept the position of the sovereign Hungarian government and the Hungarian people regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war" - Orban wrote, claiming that Ukraine, Brussels, and the Hungarian opposition are coordinating efforts aimed at installing a pro-war government in Budapest.

The main subject of the dispute is the Druzhba oil pipeline, through which Russian oil is transported across Ukrainian territory to refineries in Hungary and Slovakia. The pipeline has not been operating since January 27 - Hungary claims Ukraine deliberately restricted deliveries, while the Ukrainian side says Russian strikes damaged it.

Orban ordered enhanced security at critical energy infrastructure: "We will deploy soldiers and necessary equipment at key energy facilities. Police will increase patrols." The Hungarian leader did not provide evidence for the alleged Ukrainian activities.

European partners reacted with warnings that their patience is wearing thin. Orban had previously threatened to block a 90 billion euro European loan to Ukraine, conditioning it on the renewal of oil deliveries.

Ukrainian officials claim that repairing the pipeline is dangerous while Russia continues to attack infrastructure. The conflict deepens tensions between Hungary and its European partners.
