Vicky Martín Berrocal, the 53-year-old Andalusian designer, posted a video on Instagram with a message that went viral. The topic - the questions women get, that men have never had to hear.

„My whole life I have answered questions a man would never have been asked", says Berrocal. Why are you alone? Why have you never married? Why do you say that so directly? Is that not a bit too much? And when you succeed - why? How? With whose help?

Nearly 1.5 million followers. Berrocal has spoken about inequality before, but this time the tone was different. „I came here to be myself, not to meet someone else's expectations." The reactions came in their thousands - women of every age shared the post with their own variations.

Berrocal names the three women who have meant the most to her - her mother Victoria, her sister Rocío and her daughter Alba Díaz. But she adds that all women, known and unknown, build her days - through her work on the podcast and the clothing brand.

The last three years, Berrocal says, have been a period of self-acceptance. Before that there was confusion around power and success. „It is important to show up without fear and accept your own nature", she says. For a Balkan audience that sounds familiar - not as a declaration, but as something mothers and grandmothers have been doing for decades, without photographing it for Instagram.
