The Muzikon orchestra plays its "Beethoven Project" at the Synagogue in Novi Sad on October 29 from 20:00. The concert is part of "Beethoven 2022-2027", the project the ensemble runs every year with its own concert season.

Muzikon is led by artistic director Miloš Jovanović, who has spent around a decade opening doors for young musicians in Serbia. Through the Beethoven project, young artists perform, attend concerts and rehearsals of major orchestras and work with internationally known musicians. Seventeen members of the ensemble, students at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, were guests of the Bamberg Symphony in Germany, an orchestra founded in 1946. They were hosted by concertmaster Miloš Petrović, and violinist Nemanja Radulović helped prepare the concert there.

The detailed programme for the evening isn't published on the ticketing page, but the title makes it clear whose repertoire is at the centre. The venue is special: the Novi Sad Synagogue has been restored and now serves as a concert hall for classical music, while the Jewish community uses it for the high holidays. How many young orchestras in the region get five years for one composer, instead of one night and goodbye?

Tickets cost 2,200 and 2,600 dinars (about 1,158 and 1,368 denars) and are on sale at tickets.rs. Novi Sad is about an hour from Belgrade, and the Synagogue is right in the city centre.
