German group Death in Rome play the Zappa Baza club in Belgrade on December 10 from 19:00. Performing with them are Slovenia's Herr Lounge Corps, and Zaubergeist is also on the ticketing bill. The night is organised by Nightside Bureau, Nekroskop Booking and Inkerit Booking.

Death in Rome are a neofolk group from Germany, best known for covering pop songs in neofolk style. They present the material seriously, not as satire. The best-known example is their version of Britney Spears's "Toxic". They also have their own songs and collaborations, among others with American musician King Dude.

A pop hit transplanted into dark neofolk sounds nothing like the original, and that contrast is the whole point of the project. The same night in Belgrade, at Nova Zappa Barka, British post-punk duo The KVB play from 20:00, so fans of the darker sound have a choice to make.

Tickets cost 2,500 dinars (about 1,316 denars) and are on sale at tickets.rs.
