Psihomodo Pop play Bistro and night bar Dijana in Trnovec, near Varaždin, on February 20, 2027 at 9 p.m. The concert is part of the programme with which the venue brings well-known domestic and regional names.
The band was formed in Zagreb in 1982, and in 1983 Davor Gobac joined the group Neron, which soon changed its name to Psihomodo Pop. The first line-up was Gobac, guitarist Neven Kepenski, bassist Smiljan Paradiš Šparka, drummer Tigran Kalebota and saxophonist Branko Banjeglav.
In the mid-eighties they drew attention with a Ramones-inspired punk rock sound, energetic shows and the stage image of Gobac, who performed in women's clothing. The 1988 debut album "Godina zmaja" made them popular across all of Yugoslavia, with the hits "Kad sam imao 16" and "Frida". Gobac has been the frontman from the start until today, and with the band he has recorded 12 studio and 4 live albums. How many bands from that generation still play the clubs with the same frontman as forty years ago?
Presale tickets cost 22 euros and regular tickets 25 euros (about 1,355 to 1,540 denars), sold via entrio.hr. Trnovec is in northern Croatia, near Varaždin.
