Lali Espósito kept her word about "no endless trains": a minimalist satin dress and a carved rose instead of a bouquet

A few weeks before the wedding, Argentine singer and actress Lali Espósito was asked whether she'd walk in wearing an endlessly long dress, and answered briefly: "No, none of that is going to happen." She kept her word. She married Pedro Rosemblat at "Casa Carlos", a historic palace in Buenos Aires' San Telmo neighbourhood, in a ceremony so private that the preparations stayed secret for weeks.

The ceremony was outdoors, in the palace garden, under a canopy of tulle and lace, and the date was no accident: the anniversary of their meeting at a Halloween party in 2023. In an interview with "Frontera" during the Billboard Latin Music Awards, Lali described the plan like this: "Something very relaxed, very much for our family, our friends and for us, to celebrate this love."

The dress is long, satin, in off-white - a minimalist silhouette that recalls nineties slip dresses. Thin straps, a simple, fluid neckline, an open back and small gathers at the hip that give the skirt movement. On top of it all - a very long, classic lace veil. Who made it is still a secret, and that's exactly what has fashion experts guessing.

Instead of a bouquet, Lali carried a hand-carved rose, a piece of jewellery with a sculptural, dark finish. What it means, nobody explains. The groom skipped tradition too: instead of a dark tailcoat, a tailored light beige suit with a white shirt.

Behind the silence stood an experienced hand. The wedding was organised by Claudia Villafañe, Diego Maradona's ex-wife and a wedding planner to the famous, and the cake was designed by pastry chef Damián Betular.

A Macedonian wedding is rarely quiet: a hall full of guests, music until dawn, a dress that sometimes gets changed twice. Lali chose a garden, her closest people and not a centimetre more train than she needed. Is modesty the new luxury - or something only stars can afford?
