The musical "Molière" comes to Belgrade on October 30 and 31 at Sava Centar. A lavish stage production dedicated to the greatest French playwright arrives at one of the largest concert halls in the region, across two evening dates.
Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, known as Molière, is one of the central figures of world literature and the biggest name in French comedy. The author of works like "Tartuffe", "The Misanthrope" and "The Imaginary Invalid", he turned his sharp satire of society and human vice into a foundation of European theatre. His life - from travelling actor to a favourite at the court of Louis XIV - is dramatic enough for a musical of its own.
Big musical productions like this fuse music, acting, choreography and lavish set design into a spectacle aimed even at audiences who don't regularly go to the theatre. The Sava Centar, with its capacity and technical setup, seems built for an event of this scale.
Tickets run from around 2,632 denars and are available via tickets.rs. The shows are at Sava Centar in Belgrade, in the evening hours.
