Four young stand-up comedians, Jana Stajić, Tamara Milošević, Dušan Mažibrada and Voja Zdravkovski, perform on Thursday, 19 November, at 8 pm at Belgrade's Dorćol Platz. The host is Ilija Terzić. All four names are there because of one result: at a Standup.rs open mic night they took the most votes from the audience and the jury.
The open mic is the front door of Standup.rs: the winner, chosen by the audience and the comedians, gets a chance to perform alongside the club's comedians. The organiser calls this group one of the strongest generations to come out of these nights. That's advertising, of course, but at least there's an audience vote behind it.
Since that night they have kept performing and writing new material, each in their own style. The announcement promises four different voices and a crew with something to say. How much of that holds up will show on stage, in front of an audience stand-up can't hide anything from.
The ticket costs 800 dinars, about 421 denars, both on tickets.rs and at the door. The difference is the seat: those bought in advance guarantee one. Dorćol Platz is at Dobračina 59b in Belgrade, Serbia.
