Jane Sandanski Sold Out for Vardar - Pelister, and Lazarov Left Peševski Off the EURO 2028 List

No tickets left: Vardar and Pelister today before a full Jane Sandanski

Word from the red-and-black camp is that all tickets are sold, and the derby between Vardar and Eurofarm Pelister is played today from 17:45. The club is asking spectators to come 15 minutes early and not to pick anything up from the seats, because a choreography is being prepared across the whole arena. Ivan Čupić called it the biggest derby in Macedonia and the Balkans and is demanding a win, and on the other bench is Lino Červar. Yesterday Ohrid won 28-24 in Kumanovo to reach 15 points, the same as Pelister. Vardar have just finished the Champions League without a home win. Will the derby wipe away the European bitterness?

Lazarov picked 18 for the road to EURO 2028, Peševski is missing

Head coach Kiril Lazarov announced his squad for the start of the EHF EURO 2028 qualifiers. Macedonia host Luxembourg in Skopje on November 4 from 19:00, and four days later travel to Greece. Sweden are also in the group. The biggest novelty is Dmytro Horiha, who will make his debut. The experienced Žarko Peševski isn't on the list, and veteran Nikola Mitrevski stayed among the reserves. A generational change, or just a tough call for one camp? The next six rounds will give the answer, and in January Macedonia also has the World Championship in Germany.

The race for EURO 2028 begins: 32 national teams fight for 20 tickets

Qualifying starts on November 4 and runs for six rounds, until May 2027. The 32 teams are competing for 20 places at the championship in Spain, Portugal and Switzerland, from January 13 to 30, 2028, with the final weekend in Madrid. The hosts and European champions Denmark are already there and play their own EURO Cup. Ticket sales for Zurich also start on November 4. Group-stage packages are being sold 14 months before the first game, while most national teams still don't know whether they'll be there. The public, it seems, buys before it knows the teams.

The lists for the women's EURO are closed, Macedonia goes to Cluj

A little over a month before the start of the women's EHF EURO 2026, all 24 teams have submitted lists of up to 35 players. Only those players can be picked, with no further changes. Head coach Igor Marković registered the full 35, and Macedonia will play in Cluj against hosts Romania, Switzerland and Norway. Preparations start on November 22, and from November 27 to 29 the team plays a tournament in Turkey with the hosts, Finland and Italy. A group with Norway and the hosts is no gift. Will Cluj be anything more than a trip?

Wałach among the ten best goalkeepers in the Champions League, and Vardar are out

Vardar goalkeeper Miłosz Wałach finished the Champions League group stage with 53 saves, eighth on the list. More importantly, with a success rate of about 33 percent he is fourth, with only Sergey Hernández of Barcelona, Emil Nielsen of Veszprém and Miljan Vujović of Wisła Płock ahead of him. That's company you don't get into by accident. Vardar are still going to the EHF European League, and the goalkeeping numbers remain a consolation for one Polish international. In tonight's derby those numbers are worth nothing - only the next save counts.
