Arthur Brown, the man who in 1968 sang with a burning helmet on his head, plays Sofia on September 20, 2026 at Mixtape 5. The show is part of The Crazy World of Arthur Brown tour, and the concert is in collaboration with Threechords.

Brown is an English singer whose signature song „Fire” came out in 1968 with his band The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. What he is remembered for is not only the song but the way he performed it: with helmets in flames and costumes that set his performance apart from everything else on stage in that period. That is how he got the nickname „God of Hellfire”, and his own website still carries that name today.

What makes this show more interesting than a standard nostalgia date is that Brown is still working. Almost six decades after the hit he created, he is touring through 2026 and announcing that later in the year he will present the new album in full. That means he is not coming to Sofia only with sixties material, but as an active performer with a fresh repertoire.

The concert starts at 8 pm, and tickets cost 48.90 leva through bilet.bg, around 1,540 denars. Mixtape 5 is a club with limited capacity, which for a performer of this rank means the night will not be stadium-scale but far closer up.
